I am new to creating woodworking projects but I intend to “put in the reps”!

You put in the reps, that’s for sure. I love the kumiko, I love your twist on it, I love the koi fish, I love the wood, and I love your craftsmanship… Yet somehow the whole is a bit too much, or too busy, for my taste. I think it would have been more elegant if kept a little bit simpler, though the video may not have been as entertaining. In any event, your hard work and your skills are impressive.

So you are making tables and selling them for 10k dollars plus and you still take stupid gambling sponsors? How to loose any kind of respect for a channel, i am sorry for the 10 minutes i spent watching and sorry i wont get to watch the rest.

It's good news that you have all of your parts still.

Really wonderful. And yes its so important to recognize design as a process and put in the reps and appreciate the iterations.The flowers were great so evocative of chrysathamums, veryJapanese in spirit, i loved the segment when the full design was revealed, like opening a present on Christmas morning. And embracing the brass reveal was such a good call. Its great how the table references the buffet but doesn't attempt to copy it. Good job all around! You have every right to be proud, clearly a labor of love in every sense.

"This" video was very informative! I love the intrinsic complexities of the Kumiko technique and you made it yours so to speak with the koi fish... I am a cash poor woodworker who upcycles items to use in my garden! I can only dream of the day of having/using a CNC machine! I am a African-American female and I have been really surprised not to find many of my ethnicity doing wood working videos! That being said, your projects inspire my creativity that I hope one day will come into fruition!

Good news! You trusted the process. The trouble you had with those legs is like me starting a new crochet pattern. Sometimes takes 3-5 tries before it comes out right!

i think the more time 23:29 you take to finish a project the more off course it will be from the original plan, i play Warhammer Middle Earth Strategic Battle Game, i started to play back in 2006, Isengard,so i didn't not play in the last 10 years, i decided to play again, the focus of my army changed from heavy armor to Scouts, Scouts was always avail-abled back in the day ,so since i am old school, i started to fret over having to paint another 100 figurines,then i discovered slap chop/speedpaint method with old way finish, 15 years ago i would have shunned myself for it. so i will say Right on bro you have spent time pondering and feeling what you would do, you are an artist ,thank you for your masterpiece.

only shame is that the matress and pillow covers the headboard , love the design

Those “cookies” don’t deserve your talent. I am very impressed with everything else you did, but those c-shaped bits would’ve ended up in my burn pile. But even so, you “put in the reps” and made a really nice table out of them in spite of their ugly selves. Thanks for sharing this project with us!

Go down that rabbit hole of reading the "Good News" newspaper! My mom would use the big paper grocery bags as book covers.

Hey Jonny, it's 2024 here 😅 (yes I'm new and I binge haha) I wonder if keep the cutout from the CNC? Like you kept all the little cutouts of wood you put in the newspapers table? I think it can be a pretty amazing build! 😊 I love weird fits of materials!

You may find thickening the epoxy with cabosil will suspend the brass.
